Andrew Lai
Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer
Andrew has worked in the insurance & finance industry for 13+ years.
In 2011, Andrew started his insurance broking career as an Independent Financial Advisor at CIMB Securities and later at Phillips Securities working with both retail and corporate clients on their risk management objectives. He soon found a niche helping funds, technology companies and fintechs across Asia get insurance coverage for their complex risks.
With strong support of his clients, he made the move to being a full-time corporate insurance broker in 2020 and joined Anapi in 2022 as its first COO to help grow their business
Notable cases he has worked on include placing professional indemnity for Singapore’s first crowd funding platform in 2015 and first fintech to get the major payment institution license in 2019, IPO and fund managers insurance for Singapore first Chinese property business trust in 2017 and the first cyber insurance from a local insurer for a MAS licensed blockchain platform in 2022.
Gabriel Tay
Head of Broking
Gabriel has worked in the insurance industry for 13+ years.
Gabriel began his career as a broker in 2012, joining a boutique independent financial advisor. He took on a comprehensive role, developing portfolios for both ommercial insurance and employee benefits. He managed and serviced several MNCs, Institutes, as well as SMEs locally. He has diverse experience in various sectors including oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, asset management, plastics and recycling.
Gabriel joined Expat insurance, part of the Diot-Siaci Group, in the beginning of 2018, where he engaged in New Business – for International Group Medical Insurance Solutions as well as Employee Benefits.
During his 5-year tenure, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Singapore Regional Hub for P&C and Specialty Lines for Diot-Siaci Group.
In 2023, Gabriel joined Anapi as Head of Broking. He currently manages Large Complex Risks & Domestic and Regional Employee Benefits / Global Health Programmes.
